The Milwaukee Bucks have suddenly struggled after starting the second half of the season with six impressive wins. Ending their slide will be the goal when they take on the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.

Milwaukee is playing the third game of its four-game California trip which has been unfavorable so far. The trip started with a blowout 90-125 loss to the Golden State Warriors and was followed by a close 122-123 defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The back-to-back losses came after the Bucks scored six straight wins—a streak that fell one victory short of matching the team’s longest winning streak in the season.

Milwaukee shocked LA in the first meeting

Milwaukee’s last outing before losing two straight games was a 113-106 win over the Clippers on March 4th. Giannis Antetokounmpo did not play in the two teams’ first meeting due to Achilles tendinitis, but Damian Lillard scored 41 points, which helped the Bucks rally from 15 points down to win the match.

The back-to-back losses have pulled the Bucks back down to third place in the Eastern Conference with a 41-23 record. They are now 9-9 under Doc Rivers.

The Clippers bounced back from that seven-point loss to the Bucks by winning their next two games. They are playing the backend of a back-to-back as they are coming off a 112-102 win over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night.

The Clippers are fourth in the Western Conference with a 41-21 record.

Injury report

Antetokounmpo is listed as probable, while Khris Middleton will be out for the 14th straight game due to a sprained ankle. Chris Livingston (G-League assignment) is also out for Milwaukee.

Russell Westbrook, who underwent surgery on his fractured left hand, will not be available for the Clippers.
