Damian Lillard names his ideal starting five from current NBA players, Giannis not on it

In this story:
Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard has named his ideal starting five of players still playing in the NBA, and surprisingly, it doesn’t include his teammate, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Speaking with social media personality NelsonTheProdigy, Lillard placed himself as the starting guard and added the Golden State Warriors’ Steph Curry, the Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James, the Phoenix Suns’ Kevin Durant, and the Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo as the other four players in his ideal lineup.

Lethal lineup
Lillard, known for his dynamic skills as a point guard and renowned shooter, has always admired Curry’s game. Despite being on the other end of Steph's shooting exploits on numerous occasions, Dame has often praised the Warriors superstar for his incredible talent and impact on the game.
But it’s not just about individual skill; Lillard also understands the importance of chemistry in a team. That’s why he included LeBron James, who is widely regarded as one of the best team players in the history of the NBA. With his leadership skills, playmaking abilities, and strong presence on both ends of the court, James brings a well-roundedness to any team he plays with.
Adding Kevin Durant to the mix adds an unstoppable offensive force at the forward positions. Durant is known for his elite scoring ability and defensive acumen, making him a valuable asset on any team. To round out the starting lineup, Lillard chose Adebayo. Adebayo has emerged as one of the top centers in the league with his versatile skill set and relentless energy on both ends of the court.

No Giannis?
Lillard’s exclusion of Antetokounmpo is curious, considering the latter’s league dominance this season. Despite the Bucks’ rollercoaster of a season, Giannis has been the one constant for Milwaukee, averaging 30.8 points, 11.2, and 6.4 assists per game this season.
Although the Bucks have yet to take off this season, the Lillard-Giannis combo has shown promise, and their play will decide whether the Bucks will bring home the NBA title this season.
