Grayson Allen on the Milwaukee Bucks' goal as the regular season nears its end - "We want the one seed"

In this story:
The Milwaukee Bucks have been head and shoulders over the rest of the field since the turn of the new year, going 28-8 in 2023 to stand atop the rest of the league with the best record. With just a two-game lead over their closest pursuer, the Boston Celtics, Bucks wingman Grayson Allen says the team has their eyes on securing the top seed heading to the NBA Playoffs.
“I know we want the one seed,” said Allen.
Homecourt advantage
Finishing with the league’s best record comes with more than just pride; it also gives the Bucks a homecourt advantage throughout the postseason. Allen knows that can give a team an edge, especially since they’ve been more than formidable at home with a 29-7 record at the Fiserve Forum this season.
"I think we want it. I think we want the one seed. I think, like even after All-Star Break, it's been super close between really the top three teams in the East. So, it's not something we obsess about. We're not like checking it every day, every game, but I think we're definitely aware of it. And I know as a group, I know we want the one seed."

Finishing strong
The Bucks have 10 more games remaining in the regular season, and the race for the best record in either conference is far from over. Milwaukee has a tough stretch of games ahead, including crucial match-ups against their Eastern Conference rivals, the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers. Milwaukee will also battle Western Conference powerhouses the Denver Nuggets and the Memphis Grizzlies in the weeks to come.
If the Bucks can prevail in those games, they will be well on their way to securing the one seed in the East and making a deep playoff run.
