A look at Milwaukee's next four games: Do they have a chance to match the franchise's longest winning streak?

Milwaukee’s next four games will include two games at home and a pair of away games.

There is no doubt that the Milwaukee Bucks are the best team in the NBA right now after winning 16 straight games to post what is by far the league’s best record at 45-17.

Impressive run

With the scorching run of 16 successive wins, including an amazing unbeaten stretch in the whole month of February, the Bucks are now threatening to match the franchise’s longest winning streak.

Milwaukee’s next four games will include two games at home and a pair of away games. Should the Bucks go on to win those games, they will tie the longest winning streak in franchise history, which was achieved in the 1970-71 season. Milwaukee’s 20 straight wins during that championship season is the fifth-longest winning streak in NBA history.

The longest winning streak in the NBA is 33, which was achieved by the Los Angeles Lakers. Coincidentally, the Bucks snapped that historic run by the Lakers.

Who is on the way to history?

Milwaukee’s pursuit of history will begin tonight when they host the Philadelphia Sixers. The two squads have split the first two duels of their four-game regular-season series.

The Bucks will then travel to Washington to play the Wizards on March 5th. The two teams have also traded wins in their first two meetings. They are set to face four times this season.

After the Wizards, the Bucks will take on the Orlando Magic on March 7th. The Bucks are 2-0 against the Magic this season. From Orlando, the Bucks will return home to take on the Brooklyn Nets on March 9th. Milwaukee has won two of their first three meetings this season.

Among the Bucks’ next four opponents, only the Sixers (40-22) and the Nets (34-28) are above .500 as of March 2nd.

If the Bucks sweep their next four games, their attempt to break the franchise record will be against the Golden State Warriors on March 11th at the Fiserv Forum. The Bucks won the first of their two meetings with the Warriors this season, 128-111.
