The ongoing conflict between Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Beverley and former NBA sharpshooter, and now ESPN analyst JJ Redick rages on, with the latter defending himself from the former's accusations that he got torched by former MVP James Harden in the 2015 Western Conference semifinals.

Eager to dispel Beverley's innuendos, Redick brought out some stats that showed he held his own against Harden, then a Houston Rocket.

Things are getting contentious

The Los Angeles Clippers, which had Redick playing for Doc Rivers at that time, led the series 3-1 against Pat's Rockets. However, Los Angeles suddenly crumbled and lost four straight to Houston. Discussing that sorry defeat, Beverley alluded to JJ's defensive shortcomings and even said that Rivers should have started Jamal Crawford over the former Duke standout.

But Redick did not take Beverley's comments sitting down; instead, he brought out numbers that showed how he fared against Harden in the series.

Redick is not taking back what he said

The brouhaha began on Tuesday when Redick appeared on First Take and took issue with Rivers' recent comments regarding his current stint in Milwaukee. Since replacing Adrian Griffin, who had compiled a stellar 30-13 record, Doc has steered the Bucks to a 3-7 card in their last ten outings.

"I've seen the trend for years," Redick said.

"The trend is always making excuses. Doc, we get it. Taking over a team in the middle of the season is hard. Just like getting traded in the middle of the season is hard for a player. We get it. But it's always an excuse. It's always throwing your team under the bus."

On Thursday, Redick expressed on his podcast that he didn't regret saying what he said but did regret how he delivered the message.

"Don't regret what I said," JJ said.

"It's truthful to me. I do regret the delivery. I think sometimes when you get in certain environments, you can get emotional, and I regret that."
