GAME DAY PREVIEW AND INJURY REPORT: The Milwaukee Bucks eye bounce-back win versus the streaking Sacramento Kings

The Milwaukee Bucks look to get back on track when they take on the Sacramento Kings on Monday night.

Game preview

The Bucks had their three-game winning streak snapped when they absorbed a tough 125-116 overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night.

Milwaukee led by three, 111-108, with 32 seconds left in regulation but couldn’t hang on and allowed the Warriors to force a five-minute extension. Things completely fell apart for the Bucks in the overtime period, where the Warriors outscored them 14-5 en route to tasting their 19th loss in the season.

Despite the loss, the 48-19 Bucks still lead the Eastern Conference team standings, leading by one and a half games over the 47-21 Boston Celtics.

Sacramento poses a big challenge for Milwaukee, as the Kings have been on a roll after winning their last three games. Sac-Town is coming off a 128-119 win over the Phoenix Suns, one of the heavyweights in the Western Conference.

With the win over the Suns, the 40-26 Kings achieved their first 40-win season since 2006. Sacramento is tied with the Memphis Grizzlies in the West and is poised to make its first playoff appearance in 16 years.

Sacramento is 21-13 at home this season, while Milwaukee has gone 20-13 on the road. The Bucks defeated the Kings in their first meeting this season, 126-113.

Injury report

Giannis Antetokounmpo has missed the Bucks’ last three games and is questionable against the Kings due to right-hand soreness.

Wesley Matthews (calf) is probable against the Kings.

The Kings have no listed injured players.
