Giannis Antetokounmpo inched closer to breaking another franchise record when he helped the Milwaukee Bucks pull off a 131-125 overtime win over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night.

Antetokounmpo finished with 36 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists, and two steals to lead Milwaukee to its 11th straight win, which is the longest winning streak that the team has put up since it racked up 18 consecutive victories in 2019.

Making history

Antetokounmpo's nine-assist production increased his career total to 3,271, just one behind Paul Pressey for the career franchise lead.

The Greek Freak also moved closer to overtaking Junior Bridgeman for most games played with the Milwaukee franchise after playing his 702nd game against the Celtics. Bridgeman played 711 games for the Bucks.

The two-time MVP is already the holder of several franchise records in Milwaukee. He leads the franchise in defensive rebounds (5,487), free throws made (3,892), free throw attempts (5,483), blocks (893), points (15,815), and triple-doubles (32).

Giannis is having a stellar campaign this season as he leads the Bucks in scoring (32.5ppg) and rebounding (12.3rbg). After Tuesday night's win, the Bucks (40-17) moved a half-game behind the Celtics (41-17) for the number one spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

Injury scare

In pulling off the win, Milwaukee went through some scary moments in the fourth quarter when Antetokounmpo landed awkwardly and lay on the floor while clutching his knee. It was a concerning sight, as Giannis has missed more than a couple of games due to knee issues.

Milwaukee coach Mike Budenholzer said the initial report showed nothing serious after Antetokounmpo's fall.

"They gave me a quick update just saying that they think he just banged knees with somebody. We'll check him in the morning, but I'd say the initial kind of report was positive," Budenholzer said.
