Brook Lopez failed to convert a single three-pointer when the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night, 134-123, but it didn't matter as the center still had a great game.

Bud loves the offensive versatility from Brook

No three-point was made for one of the league's best-shooting big men, and yet he was still able to finish with a game-high 26 points in the win, something that left coach Mike Budenholzer impressed and surprised as well.

"It's really, really impressive. Tonight, he doesn't have…I don't think he had a three-pointer. That's kinda rare, he still has 24 whatever it is," said Budenholzer.

Budenholzer said the ability to score a bunch of points despite not making a three-pointer showed the versatility of Lopez's offense.

"He's taking guys off the bounce, he's getting offensive rebounds, he's doing lots of different things," said Budenholzer.

Lopez attempted just one shot from the three-point area against the Magic and went 9-of-14 from the field and 8-for-9 from the charity stripe to get to his total points.

The sweet-shooting 7-footer also had six rebounds, three blocks, one assist, and a steal in a solid-around game that helped the Bucks stretch their NBA-best record to 47-18.

On the season, Lopez is averaging 15.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while shooting an efficient 51.4% from the field per game.

It's not just defense

Players like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, and Khris Middleton have made the Bucks one of the league's title contenders, but it's the variety of things that Lopez can do on both ends of the floor that have made Milwaukee a more formidable team.

"We tend to talk about his defense so much, but offensively, his offense has been really good, too," said Budenholzer.

Now in his 15th year in the league, Lopez has developed into becoming one of the finest big men, Budenholzer said.

"He's grown, and hopefully, we've grown. He's a better player, and we're fortunate for all the things that he can do," said Budenholzer.
