On paper, the Milwaukee Bucks are as stacked as they come. And one does not have to look far for proof: their two superstars are starting in the 2024 All-Star Game in Indiana next month. However, a closer look at their roster shows some chinks in the armor, especially at the wing position. According to Bleacher Report's Andy Bailey, the Bucks' front office must address this before it comes back to haunt them in the postseason.

A more capable wing

Veteran guard Malik Beasley is the Bucks' starting two-guard, and he has done a solid job this season, averaging 11.3 points and shooting 46 percent from beyond the arc. He has played the role of spot-up shooter well. However, his lack of defensive prowess and inability to create his shot make him a liability against elite teams in the playoffs.

While the team also has Pat Connaugton and Jae Crowder, their play has dipped this season. This is where the Bucks should consider making a move to acquire a more capable wing.

"Where they could use a little boost is on the wings. Malik Beasley has been a good floor spacer, but his defense has contributed to the team's overall struggles on that end. Jae Crowder and Pat Connaughton both look a half step or so slower than they were in years past," Bailey wrote.

Young guys ain't ready yet

Milwaukee also has two talented young wings, Andre Jackson Jr. and MarJon Beauchamp, who have had their moments of brilliance this season when given ample time on the floor. However, as beneficial as their youth and energy are in the regular season, they may not be enough when the playoffs come around and they face experienced and savvy opponents.

"Ideally, Andre Jackson Jr. or MarJon Beauchamp would step into the void, but they may not be ready to meaningfully contribute to a title run yet. Adding one more proven veteran to that rotation would make sense," Bailey explained.
