Whenever a conversation is struck about who the "Greatest of All Time" is, the names that are often involved are Michael Jordan and LeBron James. However, for the number 2 pick in the 2023 NBA draft Brandon Miller, those names are not at the top of his list. Instead, his favorite is Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George as his GOAT.

"I actually don't think LeBron is the GOAT of basketball. My GOAT of basketball is Paul George," said the former Alabama star.

Puzzling choice

Miller's choice is indeed a puzzling one, despite the fact that PG is an incredible player who has amassed numerous accolades in his 14-year career. This includes eight All-Star selections, six All-NBA teams, and four All-Defensive team selections.

While those achievements are indeed worthy of praise, George is definitely several tiers below both His Airness and The King. Jordan has six NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls, LeBron has four, while PG has yet to even make it to the NBA Finals. In addition, Jordan has five Most Valuable Player trophies, while LeBron owns four. The highest individual award PG has won so far was the Most Improved Player in 2012-2013.

Bright future ahead

Along with his head-scratching declaration, Miller was also a source of surprise for many after he became the second pick during Thursday's NBA Draft. With the Charlotte Hornets picking second, Miller reported recently meeting Jordan himself.

"It's definitely exciting," Miller said. "He's Michael Jordan."

A 6-foot-9 forward, Miller finished his NCAA career with averages of 18.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game for the Crimson Tide, and many are predicting a bright NBA future for him.
