The Chicago Bulls head to the offseason with no clear backcourt leader on their squad. Patrick Beverley, the man who came and helped spark the Bulls to get into the Play In, is a free agent and is looking for a big payday. Lonzo Ball, on the other hand, doesn't have a timeline for a return after undergoing his third knee surgery since joining the team last April.

This gives some of the Bulls' young guards the opportunity to take the reins next season, and early on, it appears Coby White and Dalen Terry are putting in the work to take advantage of that possibility.

Working with Deebo's trainer

Daniel Greenberg reports that White, who's a restricted free agent, and Terry, who's entering his sophomore season, are working with Johnny Stephene—a professional basketball trainer whose specialty is ballhandling. He has worked with current Bulls All-Star DeMar DeRozan for several years now, and the results speak for themselves. Deebo has become one of the most lethal scorers in the NBA today, capable of getting to his sweet spots whenever he pleases.

Become well-rounded players

After up-and-down campaigns in his first few seasons, White finally settled down in his reserve role and has flourished playing the backup point guard role. He's even thrived as a deadly spot-up shooter, capable of making defenses pay when they focus too much on DeRozan or Zach Lavine.

Terry, on the other hand, barely got any minutes, as he had to play behind the likes of Ayo Dosunmu, White, Alex Caruso, and, later on, Beverley. But as the Bulls' backcourt rotation remains uncertain, Terry is preparing to prove himself worthy of getting more minutes.
