The stories of Michael Jordan's brutality are legendary. Almost nobody dared to upset His Airness for fear of retribution, whether in the form of a scoring explosion against him or a harsh verbal assault. While some Chicago Bulls teammates were able to navigate around Jordan's wrath, others were not so lucky.

B.J. Armstrong was one such player who faced Jordan's fury, even in retirement. Tate Frazier recently shared how Jordan once Facetimed Armstrong and did not hold back sharing his opinions about the baby-faced guard's shape.

Honest to a fault

On The Ringer's One Shining Podcast, Frazier recalled being with Armstrong when Jordan Facetimed the latter and began tearing into the guard who helped the Bulls win three straight titles at the turn of the 90s.

"One time I was with BJ Armstrong and Michael Jordan Facetimed him, and [he] was basically like calling him fat and just being like 'you need to get in the gym motherf*****, I'll come f** you up right now,'" Frazier said.

Frazier continued that Jordan was far from done, as Armstrong told him s that he was with someone with North Carolina roots. To this, Jordan blurted out: "At least you're around somebody who has some damn sense."

The fear factor

Aside from the universal admiration Jordan received, particularly during his illustrious years with the Bulls, there was an undeniable aura of intimidation surrounding him. As countless players revealed in the highly acclaimed documentary series "The Last Dance," Jordan never shied away from displaying his demanding nature, even if it meant coming across as a bit abrasive.

Still, it was all with the intention of pushing his teammates to reach their full potential and achieve greatness. And that they did, as the Bulls won six NBA titles during the 90s, establishing a dynasty unlike any other in the modern era.
