The Chicago Bulls erased a 19-point first-half deficit against the Philadelphia 76ers but ultimately came up short. Here are three key takeaways from their fourth loss of the season.

12th straight loss to the Sixers

After yesterday's 114-109 win on the road, the Sixers have now beaten the Bulls for the 12th straight time. The last time Chicago won the head-to-head matchup was on March 6, 2019.

Dosunmu's and Drummond's absence was felt

Andre Drummond missed yesterday's game with a left shoulder sprain. His absence was felt, particularly in the rebounding department -- bench unit allowed 4 offensive rebounds in the first 4 minutes of the second quarter.

Ayo Dosunmu also sat out Saturday's loss with a thoracic contusion. Without their two key contributors, the 2nd unit only combined for 24 points to the Sixers' 39.

Billy Donovan distributed Drummond's minutes among Williams, Jones Jr., and Green, but eventually opted to play Nikola Vucevic heavy minutes.

Vooch finished the game with 23 points and 19 rebounds on 5-for-7 from the 3-point line, becoming the first player in Bulls' history to record at least 20 pts, 15 rebounds, and five 3s in a single game, according to information supplied to the team by the Elias Sports Bureau.

Joel Embiid dropped 25 points along with 7 rebounds. He also hit a huge 3-pointer to give Philadelphia a 112-109 lead with 18.1 seconds left which eventually secured the Sixers' their third win of the season.

Near comeback

The Bulls turned a 19-point first-half deficit into a 5-point lead in the third quarter. And while the game remained close the rest of the end, Chicago's poor execution down the stretch allowed Philadelphia to pull out a victory.

DeMar DeRozan led the Bulls with 24 points on 7-for-12 from the field. LaVine had 20 after missing Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs, as the Bulls look to end their two-game losing streak against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday.
