Buddy Hield Would Be A Perfect Fit In Cavs Offense

Buddy Hield is seeking a trade from the Indiana Pacers and the Cleveland Cavaliers would be a great fit.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are as close to going "all-in" as you can get. The next step would be trading any of their young talent to grab another solidified superstar to pair with Donovan Mitchell. The bottom line is that there's pressure on the Cavs to perform next season.

Cleveland's roster has undoubtedly improved from last year with the additions of both Max Strus and Georges Niang. They're now a deeper team off the bench and have more players who can shoot from behind the three.

But something still feels missing. This roster could still use another piece. Luckily for the Cavs, that piece may currently be on the market.

The Indiana Pacers and Buddy Hield failed to reach an agreement on a contract extension and Shams Charania of the Athletic reported that the two sides are working together to find a trade.

If Cleveland could somehow manage to grab for Hield from their conference rival then there would be a serious argument for the Cavs to be the best team in the Eastern Conference.

Hield is a career 40 percent shooter from behind the arc and he shoots 41.8 percent on catch-and-shoot shots making him a perfect player to pair with Mitchell and Darius Garland. Providing even more floor spacing for this Cavs team would make this offense even more dangerous than it already is.

Cleveland would need to give up something substantial if they hope to land Hield.  Any deal would probably start with Isaac Okoro considering his youth and potential. The Cavs don't have a ton of draft picks after the Mitchell trade.

A Hield trade doesn't seem likely at this time considering a number of other items have already reportedly expressed interest. But if the Cavs truly look to go all in then exploring a trade of his talent would be intriguing.
