The Cleveland Cavaliers have made a number of moves over the offseason to fill the glaring holes that were exposed in last season's playoffs. On paper, the team got better at shooting, added more size, and have the potential to be a top-three seed in the Eastern Conference.

Someone is going to have to emerge on their roster and be the team's x-factor throughout the long 82 games season. The player who could have that type of impact on the team is Caris LeVert.

Cleveland brought back LeVert on a two-year deal that will keep him in a Cavs uniform through the 2024-25 season. Resigning a veteran shooting guard may seem like a minor deal, but his production proves how important he is to the roster.

LeVert averaged 12.1 points per game while shooting 43 percent from the floor and 39 percent from behind the arc. He played in 74 games which is a career-high while playing 30.2 minutes per game.

The Cavs have a solid starting five of Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, (likely) Max Strus, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen. However, it takes more than five players to win a championship. You need to have a solid bench and LeVert will lead Cleveland's.

He's a pure scorer who can provide a massive offensive boost while Mitchell or Garland are off the floor.

Last season, LeVert started 30 games due to injuries and the need for more three-point shooting in the starting lineup. He had to play the small forward in this lineup; even though he admitted he feels more comfortable at shooting guard. Now the Cavs have Strus who can start and play as a forward which will allow LeVert to come off the bench in a more favorable role.

In fact, I would not be surprised if LeVert even received Six Man of the Year votes next season.

The Cavs are going to be under pressure to win next season and they won't be able to do that without Caris LeVert.
