Cavs' James, Rockets' Paul named players of week

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James and Houston Rockets guard Chris Paul have been named Player of the Week in their respective conferences, the NBA announced Monday.

James gained the honor in the Eastern Conference after leading the Cavs (23-8) to a 4-0 record. He has recorded a triple-double in tyhree straight games and averaged 24.8 points, 13.5 assists and 10.5 rebounds for the week.

Paul nabbed the award in the Western Conference, as the Rockets (24-4) also went 4-0. Paul averaged 26.0 points, 7.8 assists and 3.3 steals for the week. The Rockets sit atop the latest Amico Hoops power rankings.

The Rockets host the Utah Jazz on Monday night. The Cavaliers visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.
