Wizards waiving veteran forward Johnson

With Sunday the deadline to waive a player on an expiring contract, the Washington Wizards are doing just that with forward Wesley Johnson, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Johnson, 31, has played in only 12 games for Washington since being acquired at the trade deadline from the New Orleans Pelicans for Markieff Morris.

He averaged 2.8 points and 1.5 rebounds in 13.1 minutes with the Wizards.
