Donovan Mitchell, Caris LeVert's Status Revealed For Cavs Vs. Mavericks

The Cleveland Cavaliers will resume play on Wednesday on the road vs. the Dallas Mavericks. Donovan Mitchell and Caris LeVert have not been ruled out.

Could the Cleveland Cavaliers be getting two of their leaders and top scorers back when the team resumes play on Wednesday night against the Dallas Mavericks on the road? The latest injury report released by the NBA indicates it may be possible.

At 5:30 p.m. ET today, the Cavs listed both Donovan Mitchell and Caris LeVert as questionable, while Sam Merrill is considered doubtful for their game at American Airlines Center tomorrow night.

Mitchell has been battling an illness since Monday, one that has kept him out of action in four straight games. Luckily, Cleveland has gone 3-1 in that stretch.

LeVert has been fighting a bothersome left knee for most of the season, even in games that he has played. Having missed back-to-back tilts, LeVert's injury is diagnosed as tendonitis.

Since giving it a go in the first half on Thursday night vs. the New Orleans Pelicans, the sharpshooting Merrill has not seen the floor as he recovers from a sprained right wrist

The Cavs would like to have all hands on deck for this matchup with the Mavs, who have won two in a row after dropping three straight.

But no matter who's been on the court for the wine-and-gold, the squad has responded with incredible efforts across the board. Saturday's win over the Chicago Bulls as a visiting, undermanned group was a testament to how sharing the game with one another has become Cleveland's identity.

Since losing Darius Garland and Evan Mobley, the Cavs are 4-1 and finding ways to win. If they get Mitchell and LeVert back into the mix, that should continue.
