The Milwaukee Bucks and general manager Jon Horst have agreed to a contract extension, the team announced Friday.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the deal is for three years.

Horst's desire for a raise and contract extension was first reported by Gery Wolfel of Woelfel's Press Box on May 30.

"I'm thankful to our ownership group for their continued trust and confidence in me,'' Horst said. "Wes [Edens], Marc [Lasry] and Jamie [Dinan] have been resolute in their commitment to building a championship-caliber team, providing the necessary tools and resources, and I look forward to continuing to execute their vision.''

The Bucks finished with a league-best record of 60-22, before losing to the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference finals. It was their first year under coach Mike Budenholzer, hired by Horst prior to the season.

Budenholzer is up for Coach of the Year, while forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is a frontrunner for league MVP.
