Rockets sign rookie forward Clark to three-year deal

The Houston Rockets have agreed to a three-year contract with rookie forward Gary Clark, according to a report from Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.
"The Rockets signed Clark to a three-year, partially guaranteed deal, moving Clark into the roster spot vacated when they waived Danuel House Jr. on Tuesday," Feigen reported. "They then signed House to a two-way contract available when the Rockets converted Clark's two-way contract to a standard NBA deal."
Clark went undrafted out of Cincinnati in June. He later signed a two-way contract with the Rockets and their G-League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
"Clark's deal can be worth as much as $3.677 million, according to an individual with knowledge of the contract," Feigen reported. "Fully guaranteed this season, it's partially guaranteed in 2019-20. It would become guaranteed in the third season if he is still on the Rockets roster on Aug. 1, 2020."
But Clark outperformed 10-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony in the Rockets' eyes, earning their trust and leading to their parting of ways with Anthony after just 10 games.
"It means a lot, especially for my family, for my mom to see me get this kind of thing done," Clark said, via Feigen. "I still have a lot to prove, a lot to do as far as to get back on the court, try to get some more minutes, just being ready at all times. Being a rookie, there's going to be some ups and downs. I just have to be ready when my number is called."
He is viewed as a solid 3-and-D wing and is averaging 3.4 points in the early season.
