Sharpshooter Korver makes splash in debut with Jazz

It took Kyle Korver all of 12 seconds to make a contribution in his season debut with the Utah Jazz.
That's how long it was before Korver hit his first shot, a 3-pointer, after coming off the bench in the first quarter of the Jazz's 119-111 road win over the Charlotte Hornets on Friday.
Overall, Korver finished with 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting. His only other game of the week came four nights earlier, when he scored 22 points in the Cleveland Cavaliers' loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
"The Cavs are trending in the right direction," he said after the same.
Two days later, the Cavs traded him (for Alec Burks and two second-round picks). The Jazz are happy he is on their side.
“It’s a really cool group,” Korver told reporters. "This is a really good locker room. Guys get along well. It’s real, it’s genuine. You’re not trying to force conversations. It just kind of flows."
Kyle Korver said he woke up from his pregame nap to missed phone calls from his agent and general manager to learn he was traded to Utah. “Just being somewhere where there’s familiarity is a huge deal,” Korver said. pic.twitter.com/VdozL5CFms

Korver, 37, could end up being the solution to Utah's prior shooting woes from the perimeter. He is averaging 7.2 points on the season (or 18 points if you only count this week) and is hitting a sizzling 48 percent of his threes.
Along with that, he is viewed as a good teammate who is all about team. One game in, Korver said he feels like he's a fit.
"It’s fun to get to know guys if guys want to talk and connect," he said. "It feels like a group.”
