Derrick White Discusses His Career Night and Matching a Celtics Franchise Record

In this story:
On the one-year anniversary of getting traded to the Celtics, Derrick White generated a regular-season career-high 33 points. He produced 36 in a playoff game with the Spurs in 2018-19.
In Friday's 127-116 win over the Hornets, in route to accomplishing that feat, White erupted for 26 points in the first half, knocking down seven of the nine threes he hoisted. In doing so, he matched a franchise record for the most makes from beyond the arc in a game's first 24 minutes, per Celtics in-house reporter Taylor Snow.
While that was enough for White to tie his career high in made threes, he eclipsed it in the second half, finishing 8/14 from beyond the arc. He also dished out ten assists and registered three blocks, becoming the first player in NBA History to accomplish that feat, per Snow.
White, who made his first six threes, said after the win, "every time I shot it, it felt great; the guys were up supporting me (and) cheering me on."
He also conveyed, "feel like I've been here forever, even though it's only been one year," and "I love being here, and it’s just been fun playing for this team."
"Feel like I've been here forever... I love being here."
