Al Horford Says New Celtics Teammates Amazed by 'Pretty Special' Atmosphere at TD Garden

The Boston Celtics are 16-0 on the parquet at TD Garden this season. A win on Friday night when they host the Utah Jazz, who are 5-14 on the road, would match their franchise record to start a campaign.

A day before that contest, after saying the Celtics aren't letting the chance to tie and set a new team best on the TD Garden parquet become a distraction, Al Horford shared his new teammates are blown away by the atmosphere at their home venue.

"Kristaps [Porzingis] and Oshae [Brissett], or some of these guys, they haven't played here before in this manner, and they're always like 'man, is it always like this?' They can't believe it."

"Not necessarily thinking about records or anything like that, it's just, continue to play good basketball," the 16-year veteran said of the Celtics' focus.

"And the Garden's been great. It's funny, Kristaps [Porzingis] or Oshae [Brissett], or some of these guys, they haven't played here before in this manner, and they're always like, 'man, is it always like this?' They can't believe it. It's pretty special how much the fans get into it, how the crowd gets, and it really motivates us, gets us going, and we just want to keep trying to ride that momentum."

From Porzingis and Brissett to Jrue Holiday, the crowd at TD Garden has impressed Horford's new teammates since the moment they made their preseason debuts with the Celtics.
