The last four years saw the Boston Celtics go through three head coaches and reach at least the Eastern Conference Finals with each of them.

Brad Stevens, Ime Udoka, and Joe Mazzulla were the proper fit for the state of the franchise while they were at the helm, with the C's current bench boss, who worked on the staff of the former two, blending intensity and a sophisticated and creative approach defensively with a thoughtful outlook on the complementary nature of basketball and how to manage and motivate his locker room.

In a recent appearance on Pardon My Take, which included lobbying for Blake Griffin to rejoin the Celtics, Derrick White and Payton Pritchard were asked to compare the coaching styles of the C's last three bench bosses.

Pritchard, the only one to have a player-coach relationship with each of them, conveyed, "There's definitely similarities to all three of them. Brad is, I would say, a little bit more laid back, obviously, really smart. Ime was more tense...Joe's like a balance between the two of them. He worked under Brad, so I think he took a lot of that stuff, and Joe was already kind of like a psycho in a way (and) he's very mentally locked in...So, he has that part of Ime in him too. So, he has like a little bit of both."
