BREAKING: Major Injury Update in Clippers vs. Nuggets Game

After initially being listed as out, Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon has been upgraded to questionable for tonight's game vs. the LA Clippers. This is a massive injury update, especially if Gordon is able to go, because he has frequently been a major factor in games vs. the Clippers.

In his eight games vs. the Clippers since joining the Denver Nuggets, Gordon is averaging 19.3 PPG, 6.1 RPG, and 3.6 APG on 60.6% from the field. Denver has outscored the Clippers by 99 points in his 256 minutes. Quite simply, Gordon is a matchup nightmare for a Clippers team that lacks strength and athleticism in their front court, particularly from Marcus Morris, who plays the same position as Gordon.

Even of Gordon is ultimately ruled out after this unexpected upgrade to questionable, this development indicates that he is close to a return. Gordon has been a huge part of Denver's success this season, and this latest upgrade from out to questionable is a good sign that a return is near, if not imminent.

The Clippers remain without Ivica Zubac in this game, which is especially consequential if Gordon plays. While Zubac would draw the Jokic assignment if he were available, his interior defense and rebounding would also be crucial against Gordon, who kills the Clippers above the rim.

The final status of Aaron Gordon will likely be revealed around 30 minutes to an hour before game time when the Nuggets submit their official starting lineup.
