Former Clippers Player Believes Clippers More Concerning Than Lakers

In this story:
One of the more shocking developments to start the season is how much both LA teams are struggling. Both the Lakers and Clippers are struggling for different reasons, but new ESPN analyst Austin Rivers, believes the Clippers are far more concerning.
On an episode of NBA on ESPN, Rivers revealed why he's more concerned about the LA Clippers with a 3-4 record, than he is about the Lakers with a 3-5 record.
"It has to be the Los Angeles Clippers right now," Rivers said. "For me, when you look at them as a whole, it's hard to see how they can be functional going forward. Especially, deep into the playoffs. They have four superstars and four guys who are used to being the man on their team. Who is going to be the spacer, who is going to be the hustle guy, who is going to be the guy that rebounds, who is going to be the guy that boxes out and essentially takes a back seat? It can't just be one of them, it has to be multiple guys."

The most concerning thing about the Clippers is that they're losing to middling teams while they're fully healthy themselves. This is a team that used to very rarely lose when both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are playing. Right now, they're wasting games when they're fully healthy and can barely put up 90 points. It seems more like a legitimate functionality problem than anything else.
"Just in terms of long term, how does this team become a team," Rivers questioned. "It just seems like right now, in terms of spacing, I do have concerns, especially going forward and making a run into the playoffs. They're going to have to have guys step up and take a back seat. Honestly, just not be who they were their whole career."
Rivers isn't wrong when he says the spacing and the hustling are the issue. Everyone looks confused on the court for the Clippers, and in all honesty, it feels like they have too many cooks on the court.
