Ty Lue Reveals New Injury Update on Kawhi Leonard

In this story:
LA Clippers star Kawhi Leonard was unexpectedly ruled out vs. the Golden State Warriors with a left adductor strain, but it's something head coach Ty Lue does not believe is too serious.
Speaking with reporters at Wednesday morning's shoot-around, Lue said, "It's been brewing for a little while. He had some hip soreness going into last game and tried to play through it... But he'll be okay."
When asked if he expects Leonard back after the All-Star break, Lue said, "I think the All-Star break should get him ready to play. I hope. But I don't think it's something serious."
All things considered, this is a positive update from Lue. It sounds as if Leonard has been experiencing some discomfort for a bit, but it wasn't something he was unable to play through until this final game before the break. Not believing this injury is anything serious, Lue hopes to have Leonard back in the mix when the Clippers return from the All-Star break.
Despite the talent the Clippers have on this roster, they can struggle quite a bit at times when Leonard is off the floor. Leonard's health has been one of the biggest reasons the Clippers are where they are in the standings, and the hope is that he does not have to miss any time beyond this one game in Golden State.
