Luka Doncic's Updated Injury Status vs. Grizzlies
Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has officially been ruled out for Monday night's match up against the Memphis Grizzlies. This is a very important game for both teams, as seeding remains very tight in the Western Conference.
Entering this game, the Memphis Grizzlies are tied with the Sacramento Kings for the two-seed, and the Dallas Mavericks currently sit just a half-game above the Golden State Warriors for the sixth-seed. Any slippage from the Mavericks will put them right back into the play-in picture, which is something they certainly want to avoid.
As for Memphis, they will not be getting Ja Morant back for this game, despite him being officially eligible after serving his eight-game suspension. Morant still needs to ramp up his conditioning before he can return to the court, and that return could come as soon as Wednesday against the Houston Rockets. As for now, the focus is on this game between a shorthanded Grizzlies squad and a shorthanded Mavericks squad.
A lot is on the line in this one, and while both teams will have their stars out, this is a very important game. Both Memphis and Dallas have shown the ability to compete without their best players recently, and that ability will be put to the ultimate test in this crucial Western Conference showdown. The Grizzlies and Mavericks will tip-off at 5:00 PM PST in Memphis.
