NBA Legend Issues Warning to Lakers and Warriors

In this story:
During a recent episode of Ticket & The Truth, NBA legend Paul Pierce issued a warning to the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers, saying this is their last chance to make an NBA Finals run before young teams like the Memphis Grizzlies, OKC Thunder, and Minnesota Timberwolves take over the Western Conference.
"This is the last year the Lakers or Golden State has a chance to get to the Finals," Pierce said. "This is the last year. After this, their run is over. Because these young teams is gonna be another year older, another year better, and then another team next year that's gonna come back is Memphis. They're gonna come back next year."
This year might be the Lakers and Warriors last chance to make a run.

While the Grizzlies will of course have to wait for next season to make any noise, with Ja Morant out for the rest of this season, Pierce may even be a year late on Golden State and Los Angeles. Both the Lakers and Warriors portray as possible sleeping giants at the bottom of the Western Conference, but the reality is that they're both in the play-in picture for a reason.
With LeBron James and Steph Curry, there is certainly a chance the Lakers and Warriors could upset a top-seeded team in the postseason this year. That said, given their respective records, the likelier scenario is that both LA and Golden State will be overmatched by the younger, more talented teams currently atop the Western Conference.
As for the Grizzlies, Pierce sees them rejoining that group as soon as next season.
