Timberwolves Announce Anthony Edwards Injury Update

In this story:
Playing just four minutes on Friday night, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards left the game against the Memphis Grizzlies with what the team has announced is a right hip pointer injury. This official announcement came from the Timberwolves via their public relations account on X (formerly known as Twitter), and it included the announcement that Edwards would be out for the remainder of the game.

This is the extent of what Minnesota has announced on the injury Edwards suffered in this game against Memphis, as additional updates will likely become available as Edwards receives more testing from the medical staff. Even despite this injury, the Timberwolves were able to take care of business against the Grizzlies, maintaining their lead over the next best team in the Western Conference.
The Oklahoma City Thunder, who are the second seed right now behind the Timberwolves, also got a big win on Friday night, so it was good for Minnesota to take care of business. While the Timberwolves are of course happy with the win, their biggest concern right now is the health of Edwards. The severity of this injury is not yet known, but Minnesota will certainly need their star guard if they want to continue their hot start to the season.
The Timberwolves have been one of the biggest surprises this season, and Edwards is a huge reason why.
