Austin Reaves Reveals Incredible LeBron James Story vs. Grizzlies

Austin Reaves' viral moment in Game 1 of the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Memphis Grizzlies series last postseason has been well documented. After hitting a big three to cap off a dominant stretch of buckets, Reaves yelled, "I'm him!"

That moment has been replayed countless times, but LeBron James' involvement in making that play happen has surprisingly gone under the radar. Recently appearing on The Lowe Post podcast, Reaves revealed that James was specifically looking for him in transition on that play.

"I was on the left side, and I just went to run the floor," Reaves said. "They outlet it to Bron, and this was right before I hit the three. Me going to run the floor, I hear Bron yelling at me like, 'AR, come back!' And he just tosses me the ball. I'm like, 'Oh sh-t.' I have the greatest, in my opinion the greatest player ever - I don't wanna say deferring to me in this moment, but like giving me the ball."

Reaves drilled the three and sealed a massive road victory for the Lakers to open the series. As the 7th seed, Los Angeles knocked off the 2nd seed Grizzlies to begin what would be an impressive run to the Western Conference Finals. It was a disappointing exit for the Grizzlies, who were not able to defend their home court advantage.
