BREAKING: Grizzlies 'Hopeful' Ja Morant Returns vs. Houston Rockets

In this story:
Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has officially completed his eight-game gun video suspension from the NBA, and is eligible to make his return to the court. Despite being eligible to play vs. the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night, Morant remains out while he ramps up his return to play conditioning.
Speaking with the media before Monday night's game, Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins said the team is hopeful that Morant will make his return to the court on Wednesday night against the Houston Rockets. Jenkins added that it has been a good first day having Morant back around the team, as the star guard has already addressed his teammates and coaches upon being reinstated.

Morant was unable to play basketball during much of his suspension, which is part of why he needed extra time to ramp up his conditioning after completing the eight-game absence. While Morant will not play on Monday, just having him back around the team should be a big boost for a Grizzlies squad that has done well to pick up wins in his absence. Still having their sights set on the Western Conference's two-seed, Memphis is certainly ready to get Ja Morant back into the mix before the playoffs begin.
This Grizzlies team is a confident group that believes they match up well with anybody in the Western Conference, and adding their superstar point guard back into the mix could be the perfect recipe for deep playoff success.
