Former NBA star Dwight Howard is currently playing basketball in Taiwan, and never hesitates to recruit current NBA players to join him. With Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant flashing a gun again on Instagram live, Howard shared a hilarious Tweet recruiting the star point guard to Taiwan - as long as he leaves the gun at home.

Howard was obviously making a joke, as Morant will not be leaving the NBA, but it was a hilarious reaction to what is another unfortunate situation that Morant has placed himself in. Having been suspended for the exact same thing earlier this season, Morant is now expected to face an even lengthier suspension this time around, which would sideline him to start the the 2023-24 NBA season.

This is a very important offseason for the Grizzlies, who were sent home by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the playoffs. Understanding that they are far from where they need to be in terms of championship contention, Memphis must improve both external and internally this summer. This latest development with Morant certainly hinders that forward progress, as Memphis will almost certainly begin the new season without their best player.

While Morant will obviously not be leaving the NBA as a result of this latest incident, he does have an invite to Taiwan from future Hall-of-Fame big man Dwight Howard.
