Grizzlies Player Reacts to Dillon Brooks Slamming Them

Former Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks had some words for his old team earlier this season, saying they have no swagger anymore now that he is gone. Joining the Houston Rockets this summer via a sign and trade deal, Brooks left the franchise he had spent his entire career with.

Joining a recent episode of Gil's Arena, Grizzlies forward Xavier Tillman was asked about Brooks slamming his team in that interview, and had a great response.

"That's my guy, but he's doing some player hating," Tillman said. "He gotta stay over there. It's already done, he gotta stay on that side. Because you know what? They not even that far ahead of us. I ain't even sweating them. I'm not even sweating them. I'm not sweating them one bit. But that's my guy, 10 toes for sure. He taught me so much."

As Tillman stated, he and Brooks are still on good terms, as is the case for several players on the Grizzlies. While Brooks is going to talk trash, he still has a lot of positive relationships within the Grizzlies organization, and that is not going to change over these comments.

The Grizzlies know how Brooks is, having been on his side for so many years, so they do not take these comments personally. For Tillman, he still has love for his former teammate.
