Grizzlies Reveal Ja Morant's Final Status for Game 3 vs. Lakers

In this story:
After missing Game 2 with a right hand injury, Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is set to make his return to the lineup for Game 3. The Grizzlies announced around an hour before tip-off that Morant was available to play, which is massive news. While it is unclear how much Morant will be hindered by that right hand, the fact that he has been cleared to play is a significant development.
The Grizzlies were able to steal Game 2 without Morant, and enter Los Angeles for Game 3 with the series tied 1-1. Had Morant been forced to miss the remainder of the series, it felt highly unlikely that the Grizzlies would be able to hold off the Lakers, even after that encouraging Game 2 showing.
Even if he is limited, Morant's return to the lineup projects to open things up for the Grizzlies in several ways. This Memphis team has championship aspirations, and they know they will need a healthy Ja Morant in order to fulfill them. The Lakers are not an ordinary 7th seed, which is why Memphis could not afford an extended absence from their star point guard. Having missed just one game, Morant is ready to return, and will be in the starting lineup on Saturday night against the Lakers.
Game 3 between the Lakers and Grizzlies will begin at 7:00 PST.
