Injury Update: Grizzlies Lose Key Player for NBA Playoffs

In this story:
The Memphis Grizzlies will be without center Steven Adams for the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs. In a In a statement last month, the team wrote, "Following a recent reevaluation, Memphis Grizzlies center Steven Adams underwent a stem cell injection yesterday as he continues his recovery from a PCL sprain in his right knee. Adams will be reevaluated in approximately four weeks."
That reevaluation how now occurred, and Adams is expected to be out for the season:

Starting in all 42 games he played in this season, Adams averaged 8.6 PPG and 11.5 RPG. Adams also protected the rim well, blocking 1.1 shots per game, while allowing opponents to shoot just 52.5% within six feet of the basket.
While Adams is not flashy, he provided a lot of utility for Memphis, especially defensivly and on the glass. Without him, the Grizzlies could lean further into small-ball, sliding Jaren Jackson Jr. up to the center position in some lineups.
Also without Brandon Clarke for the rest of the season, Memphis is very thin up front. The team has been playing great basketball, but they will certainly be challenged without Adams in the mix.
With one more regular season game remaining, the Grizzlies have already secured the two-seed, and will be resting most of their top talent in the season finale on Sunday.
