Ja Morant Makes History in Grizzlies vs. Lakers Game

In this story:
Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant had a historic third quarter vs. the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night. With 28 points in the third quarter alone, Morant set a Grizzlies franchise record for the most points in a single quarter.
Morant was truly unstoppable in this third frame vs. Los Angeles, helping his Grizzlies create some separation from the Lakers in what had been a back and forth affair all night. There was nothing the Lakers could do to stop him inside the paint, as he continued to elevate and finish above any and all defenders.
As previously mentioned, the Lakers had been doing well to keep this game close without LeBron James, but Morant's explosion in the third quarter created a double-digit lead for the Grizzlies. This was always going to be a tough game for the Lakers without LeBron James, but it became even tougher with Morant putting up a historic third frame.
Still early into his career, Morant has a highlight package that is longer than players who have been around much longer than him. This quarter vs. the Lakers will go right into the middle of that career mixtape, but more importantly for Morant and the Grizzlies, was the impact this had on the score. In a back and forth affair with the Lakers, the Grizzlies could use every bucket Morant can give them.
The Lakers did well to answer this explosion from Morant to start the fourth quarter, once again cutting into the lead and making it exciting down the stretch.
