Kyrie Irving's Final Status vs. Grizzlies Revealed

In this story:
Speaking with reporters before the game, Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd revealed that Kyrie Irving would not play in Monday night's game vs. the Memphis Grizzlies. Irving was initially listed as questionable on the injury report with a foot injury, and has now been ruled out.
This is of course a big loss for the Mavericks, who will have to rely even more on Luka Doncic than they already do. Unbeaten through their first two games, the Mavericks are looking to stay perfect. As for Memphis, they are on the opposite end of the standings right now, looking to pick up their first win of the season after starting 0-3.
The Mavericks had a very disappointing season last year, and are hoping a full offseason and training camp with Irving and Doncic together will help make it a more successful year this season. So far things have looked good for Dallas, but it is way too early to make any strong conclusions from how they have looked as a duo.
For Memphis, they are in a very interesting spot, because the first 25 games of the season will primarily be about staying above water. With Ja Morant ineligible for the first 25 games, the Grizzlies are hoping to not slip too far down the standings before their star point guard returns from his suspension.
