Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is officially eligible to return from his gun video suspension; however, that return will not come in Monday night's game vs. the Dallas Mavericks. Morant has been ruled out for return to play conditioning, but NBA insider Shams Charania reported that the star point guard could be making his return as soon as Wednesday vs. the Houston Rockets.

"I'm told he could return to the lineup as soon as Wednesday at home against the Rockets," Charania said. "It was overall an eight-game suspension for Ja Morant, unpaid. The NBA had its investigation, they concluded a few things in that video where he was waving the gun... The gun, they concluded did not belong to Morant. The gun was not brought by him to the club. They concluded that he did not display it for longer than he did in that social media video."

With Morant's suspension now over, his return to the court will ultimately be dependent upon his conditioning level. Once the star guard gets his conditioning level back to where it needs to be, he will be back in the starting lineup for a Grizzlies team that is looking to regain sole possession of the two-seed.

Memphis did well in Morant's absence, but they know their championship hopes ride on his availability. With Morant set to reenter the lineup as soon as Wednesday, Memphis has an opportunity to build some momentum entering the playoffs.
