NBA Commissioner Adam Silver Sets July 31st As A Possible Return - Thursday Looks To Be The Announcement Date

Adam Silver will be conducting meetings over the weekend with the NBA Board of Governors to finalize a processing plan and format for the actual games but he also announced that he sees the startup date to be July 31st.

The NBA is planning a Thursday vote of the Board of Governors -- with an expectation that owners will approve Adam Silver’s recommendation on a format to re-start the season in Orlando, sources tell ESPN.

Silver also plans to have his final proposal voted on by the Board of Governors this Thursday, with the growing belief that there will be 20-22 teams invited to Orlando with some sort of either shortened season with a play-in tournament to follow before the playoffs.
