NBA Insider Believes Ja Morant Could Miss Remainder of Season

In this story:
When asked about Ja Morant before Monday night's game vs. the Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins said, "There are a lot of internal dialogues going on and obviously there’s still things going on at the league level that we’re in communication with. Ja's fully engaged in this process and ready for whatever comes next after these 2 games."
A report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski came out shortly after these comments, and it revealed that Morant had entered a counseling program in Florida. With Jenkins once again providing no timeline for Morant's return, and Wojnarowski reporting that he has entered a counseling program, it feels reasonable to assume the star point guard will not be immediately reinstated after his latest four-game "team suspension" is served.
These latest developments seem to line up with comments made recently by NBA insider Marc Spears, who spoke on the Morant situation during an episode of ESPN's The Hoop Collective podcast on Wednesday. When speaking on Morant, Spears said, "There's things I'm hearing that I'd rather probably not say on this podcast… My guess now is that he doesn't play the rest of the season."
Spears made it very clear that he is more concerned with Morant's mental well-being than anything else, and that he really hopes the star guard receives the help he needs in order to be better.
