New Trade Idea Between Grizzlies and Rockets

In this story:
In a recent article, Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report proposed a trade idea between the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets that sends Jae'Sean Tate, a 2027 second-round pick, and a 2028 second-round pick to Memphis in exchange for Ziaire Williams.
This is one of those interesting trades that swaps inexperience for inexperience. While Tate is about to turn 28 years old, he has just three years of NBA experience, while the 22 year old Williams already has two seasons under his belt. That said, Tate has a lot more experience as a starting forward than Williams does, having started 142 career games, while Williams has started just 35.
The logic from Buckley is that a move for Williams gives Houston a high upside player who may fit their timeline better than the Grizzlies' win-now timeline. Compensating Memphis with picks in exchange for Williams, it seems Buckley believes Houston is receiving the more valuable player - at least in the longterm.
While Memphis could still be searching for their starting small forward next season, they may look to get a better fit than Tate, especially if they're dealing Williams. While Tate is a nice player, he's not much of a floor spacer, which is something the Grizzlies need in that spot after Dillon Brooks' inability to shoot proved costly at times.
While this trade is interesting, it's likely not one that gets done.
