In need of a starting small forward, the Memphis Grizzlies are reportedly looking to deal multiple first-round picks in exchange for an upgrade on the wing. This was recently reported by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, who wrote the following:

"The Grizzlies are dangling future first-round draft picks to make an upgrade on the wing, league sources told HoopsHype. At the trade deadline, the Grizzlies offered the Brooklyn Nets four first-round picks as part of a trade package for Mikal Bridges, as previously reported by HoopsHype. Memphis also had trade discussions with the Raptors for Anunoby during that time and could look to rekindle those conversations."

Considering the Grizzlies have a solid star trio of Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson Jr., it makes sense why they would be willing to part with future assets in exchange for a win-now piece. The Grizzlies were the second seed last season, but their performance in the first round of the playoffs exposed a real need for roster upgrades if they want to truly contend. Parting with draft assets in exchange for wing help is one way to do that.

The Grizzlies will also needs additional offensive production for the first 25 games of the season during Morant's suspension. While both Bane and Jackson Jr. have shown the ability to step up in his absence, another quality starter alongside those two would go a long way towards helping the Grizzlies survive Morant's suspension.
