WATCH: Viral Moment Between Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart

In this story:
The Boston Celtics faced the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday night, and while Marcus Smart was sidelined due to injury, he was still able to reunite with his former teammates. Traded to the Grizzlies in the offseason after spending his entire career with the Celtics up until that point, Smart has been missed by his old teammates, even with the success they have been having.
Prior to Sunday night's game, Smart shared a viral moment with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, his two former Celtics teammates he had so many battles alongside:
We got a reunion in Memphis!

Smart was beloved in Boston, especially by his teammates. Losing him was undoubtedly a hit to the locker room, but it was a move Boston felt they needed to make in order to upgrade their roster. The trade has looked good for the Celtics so far, as their starting five is arguably the most lethal in basketball, but they definitely miss what Smart brings on and off the court.
For the Grizzlies, it's unfortunate that they have not gotten the opportunity to experience the fullness of what Smart brings. While the veteran guard has been solid in his first 11 games, injuries to himself and his teammates have really limited what Memphis planned to do to start the year. That said, the Grizzlies remain hopeful that their healthy roster can be a solid playoff team.
