Fans Still Roast Tyler Herro’s Poor Shooting Despite Strong Fourth Quarter

Herro shot just nine for 27 in the Miami Heat’s 115-114 Play-In loss to the Philadelphia 76ers

Fans of the Miami Heat were not happy with Tyler Herro on social media following the Heat’s Play-In Tournament loss on Wednesday.

The Heat fell 115-114 to the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers claimed the seventh seed in the East with the win. The Heat now have an elimination game with the Chicago Bulls at Kaseya Center on Friday for the eighth seed.

Many of the Heat’s players failed to impress offensively. Herro led the team with 25 points and nine assists. Herro also helped the Heat attempt to rally by scoring 16 points in the fourth quarter, including a 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds remaining to bring the Heat within one.

Despite the heroic effort, Herro still failed to be efficient. He shot just nine of his 27, going 4 of 14 from the arc.

This Heat fan didn’t hold back after the loss. Herro was selected in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft. He has the fifth-most points and assists and the sixth-most rebounds from players in that draft.

Some brought up the concept of trading Herro. He has been in trade rumors before, most notably this past summer during the Damien Lillard saga.

A select few backed up Herro for his efforts on Wednesday. This fan attacked Bam Adebayo for his poor performance, rather than blaming Herro’s poor shooting.

The Heat will count on Herro even more Friday because Jimmy Butler is reportedly sidelined for multiple weeks after sustaining a knee injury Wednesday. This could be Herro's chance for redemption.
