ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski Believes Miami Heat Could Covet Another All-Star During Offseason

Last summer was one of the most dramatic offseasons in history for the Miami Heat.

It was spent coveting Damian Lillard for months during free agency but the Heat could be headed for a repeat if they don't win the championship. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski recently said they are always a factor when it comes to landing big-time free agents.

"Miami is always in great position, especially if it's players with not a lot left on their contract, one year or two years," Wojnarowski said on ESPN's pregame show Friday. "And they tell their team, `I want a trade to the Heat and if you don't send me to the Heat, I'm going to become a free agent and go somewhere else. Don't trade me to that team or that team.' Teams can still decide to send you where they want to send you but it's always an advantage for Miami. Players want to be a part of that organization."'

The odds of the Heat winning the championship are slim. Not only do they open the playoffs against the top-seeded Boston Celtics Sunday, they are without star Jimmy Butler for at least a couple weeks. If they lose, Wojnarowski believes the Heat will begin the search to revamp the roster to acquire more talent.

The Heat already have three All-Star caliber players in Butler, Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo.

"I think Miami will be in a position again to use the assets that they have to go out and get another All-Star level player that maybe connects more on the timeline with Bam Adebayo and his age," Wojnarowski said.
