A Pair Of Former Miami Heat Players Make Shaquille O'Neal's Top 10 List

Shaquille O'Neal places himself and LeBron James, who both won championships with the Miami Heat, on his all-time top 10 list

NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal rarely refuses to pass up the chance to anything remotely close to criticism.

So it was expected he chimed in when he was left off NBA great Julius Erving's all-time Top 10 players list.

“Hey, man, I got no problem with Dr. J’s list,” O’Neal said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. “He’s the great Dr. J. He paved the way for all of us. He can say what he wants and nobody should say a damn thing about it.”

It prompted O'Neal to release his Top 10. His first team included Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, LeBron James and himself. Both James and O'Neal won championships with the Miami Heat.

“That ain’t no disrespect to [Karl] Malone, [Charles] Barkley and Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar],” O’Neal said. “Hey, that’s my list. Understand what I’m saying?”

O'Neal's second-team consisted of Allen Iverson, Steph Curry, Tim Duncan, Karl Malone and Isiah Thomas. He did add Abdul-Jabbar to the list at the end of the interview, calling it a Top 11.
