Goran Dragic Wants To End His Career With Miami Heat

Goran Dragic says “it would be a no-brainer to finish in Miami”

With the Milwaukee Bucks’ season over, point guard Goran Dragic is watching the NBA Finals that feature the Miami Heat.

It has provided Dragic chance to reminisce about the seven years he spent with the Heat. On a recent episode of 560 Sports WQAM, Dragic revealed he wants to spend his last years in the NBA in Miami.

“I mean, look, how should I put it?” Dragic said. “I live here, my kids are here, so definitely if I am looking to finish my career, I mean, it would be a no-brainer to finish in Miami. This is my home. I spent an unbelievable seven years here. I love all the players, all the people in the front office. This is the city that I see myself in the future, so hell yeah, why not?”

Dragic arguably had the best seasons of his career with the Heat. He averaged 16 points, became an All-Star and quickly grew into a fan favorite. He helped them make the playoffs four times and put on amazing performances alongside stars Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. He was also partially responsible for their first Finals appearance since 2014.

Heat fans fans stood and cheered for him every time he returned to the arena. They were also upset and questioned the decision when he was traded to the Toronto Raptors for Kyle Lowry.

With Udonis Haslem retiring, Dragic could fill the role of experienced veteran in the huddle.
