Miami Heat's Gabe Vincent Provided Perfect Lob On Play That Helped Push Them Eastern Conference semifinals

Gabe Vincent had the game's biggest assist while also scoring 22 points in Game 5 against Milwaukee Bucks

Miami Heat guard Gabe Vincent it was easier than it looked.

With the Heat down two in the closing seconds of regulation, he threw the perfect inbound alley-oop pass to Jimmy Butler that tied the game. The Heat won in overtime, advancing to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Vincent said the play was all Butler once the ball passed the outstretched arms of Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo.

"I just got to throw the ball up there," Vincent said. "Giannis on me, who else is going to jump with Jimmy to get it? Him [Bam Adebayo]? He's on our team. For me, it was easy. I had complete faith in Jimmy. We ran something similar before and he dunked that one, so I just figured I gotta get it over Giannis. That was the hardest part. Once I took two steps back lobbed it up for Jimmy, he took care of the rest."

It was the second time the Heat successfully used the play the season. It also worked in February against the Houston Rockets. Vincent also scored 22 points in the victory, so he was just more than the assist man on this night.
