Are Jimmy Butler's Guarantees Getting Old? Not If You Ask ESPN's Zach Lowe

In this story:
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler has often made guarantees before games and about team success.
Sometimes, he's right. Sometimes, he's wrong.
While some have tired of his act because the Heat have yet to win a championship, ESPN's Zach Lowe said it's hard to doubt Butler because of his track record.
"Two Finals, a conference Finals, where they're one shot away from a third Finals," Lowe said Tuesday on NBA Today. "That's Jimmy Butler's four seasons in Miami. [Damian] Lillard or no Lillard, don't count them out."
Butler guaranteed a championship during a recent interview while on tour in China. Last year the Heat lost in five games to the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals. They are chasing Lillard, the Portland Trail Blazers seven-time All-Star, this summer. It gives them even more firepower alongside Butler and center Bam Adebayo.
In Lowe's eyes, the Heat are contenders regardless. Just long as they have Butler.
"Boston's got to figure out a new identity with [Kristaps] Porzingis and without Marcus Smart," Lowe said. "Philly's in limbo right now. Milwaukee's gotta figure out what in the heck happened to them in the playoffs, another bad playoffs collapse ... I'm not counting out Miami. I'm not picking them to make the Finals unless they get Damian. Even then, I'll have to think about it. Jimmy Butler, he can proclaim whatever he wants and I will listen. I will not doubt him anymore."
